Sixstring Lounge releases a chillout version of “Take Me Home, Country Roads”

The chillout guitar project “Sixstring Lounge” has today released its new single – a dreamy yet powerful rendition of John Denver’s legendary hit “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The single captures the essence of the original while adding contemporary freshness with a cool vibe.

The song was written by Denver along with Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert, members of the folk group Fat City at the time. The inspiration for “Take Me Home, Country Roads” comes from Danoff and Nivert’s experiences driving through rural areas of Maryland, particularly along Clopper Road in Montgomery County.

With gentle guitar sounds and an engaging rhythm, Sixstring Lounge creates an atmosphere that takes the listener on a journey through picturesque landscapes and open roads. The warm chords and relaxing ambiance create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for escaping the daily routine and getting lost in the sounds of nature.

“Take Me Home, Country Roads” is a journey to the roots of folk music and to the essence of the human longing for home and belonging. Sixstring Lounge invites listeners to embark on a musical journey and immerse themselves in the comforting sonic landscapes they’ve created.

The single is now available on all major music platforms.
