About
“Everlong”
⏰ This time I’m running a bit late. Normally, I always release a new single on Fridays, but due to the year-end transition, there were some production delays this time. 🥳🍀 But now, it’s finally here, and I’m proud to present my cover version of “Everlong” by the Foo Fighters. As always, it’s a very chilled lounge version of the track, which originally has quite a rock feel to it. In my version, though, there’s plenty of space for dreaming and relaxation.
“Everlong” is a popular song by the Foo Fighters, released in 1997 as part of their second album, “The Colour and the Shape.” The song’s lyrics are often interpreted as a reflection on enduring love and a desire for a lasting connection.
The backstory of the song is rooted in the personal experiences of the Foo Fighters’ frontman, @davestruestories . At the time, he was going through a difficult period in his life, dealing with a breakup and other challenges. This emotional turmoil fueled the creation of “Everlong,” which he described as a love song with a twist, combining both longing and passion.
The song’s powerful and energetic music, coupled with its emotional lyrics, has made it one of the band’s signature tracks and one of my favorites (among many others).
